English Domestic Cricket Season Preview player in and out 2017

Here are the Ins and Outs of the English County Cricket teams for the 2017 season, I will try and update in red any new movements from this point on. Significant I think is less overseas players particularly for the T20, perhaps there are more to come, it was thought that holding it all in one month that would see a rise in overseas players. It does appear that the counties are being a bit more sensible on spending, large sums for a player that struggled to adapt did seem rather expensive.

You can see the full spreadsheet of fixtures on my homemade chart and it is clear that the new season's fixtures do seem to be much better, and more logical. No late finishes and early starts 100 miles away. Also a plan to fit in the one day competitions. Fixtures are better planned over bank holidays and weekends. Easter seeing all teams playing for instance. It is an early start, but in 2015 the early start saw some really great weather early doors, so you never know your luck.

Derbyshire

Out Callum Parkinson goes to Leics, Chesney Hughes has been released and Andy Carter has retired

In Hardus Viljoen, Gary Wilson from Surrey and Luis Reece from Lancs

Overseas Jeevan Menis from April to June, and Imran Tahir from June to September.

Derbyshire have a new coaching set up and have employed Kim Barnett, Tony Pallindino, and John Wright to name just three.

Durham

With Ian Botham now as Chairman of Durham Cricket and experienced players such as Collingwood, Onions and Rushworth on the coaching staff Beefy is confident they can still do well with a a 48 points deduction. They also have a four point penalty in the One Day Cup and 2 points in the T20 Blast. So a lot to overcome. Ben Stokes will obviously be tied to IPL and then England and also Keaton Jennings is very much on the England radar. All in all this could be a very difficult season for Durham as they have lost Borthwick and Stoneman on top of all that.

One day Captain will be Keaton Jennings and Paul Collingwood will captain the Championship side and the T20 Blast.
